Book
Pick a time online for an in-person visit. A $20 deposit holds that appointment and comes off your visit; it applies to in-person visits, not to every booking. Or send us the details first, at no charge, and we'll sort out the plan together.
Diagnose & quote
The first-visit fee is $95 for the first half hour of an in-person visit in the Wenatchee Valley corridor, or $50 for a drop-off. It covers the diagnosis, and it counts toward the repair if you go ahead. Anything past that first half hour is quoted and needs your approval before it's charged. If the fix isn't worth it, we'll say so and stop there. The fee still applies, but you won't spend anything more chasing a repair that doesn't make sense.
Fixed & documented
A firm turnaround date, then before-and-after photos and notes on exactly what was done.

Send the make, model, and what the device is doing, or call. We'll tell you whether a repair looks worth pursuing and which of these options fits, before you pay anything. A firm repair price takes having the device in hand, so what you get is an honest read rather than a quote.
Who's behind the bench
When you leave your equipment with Alpine Device Repair, you know exactly who is working on it. Loren lives in Leavenworth, and he has been fixing things for as long as he has been building software: broken laptop screens, pinball machines that won't boot, TVs, projectors, phones, stereos, small engines. That software career runs three decades, from engineer to leading engineering teams to running a software company, including time at Microsoft, where he was named as an inventor on two patents.
That combination covers both sides of a modern repair. Whether the problem is a failed component on a circuit board or a setting buried deep in a menu, the same person follows it from the first symptom to the final test.
Loren is insured and has deep roots in the Wenatchee Valley. He has taught computer science and cybersecurity at Cascade High School for more than five years, coached youth soccer, helped found the Leavenworth Firefighter Challenge, served as an EMT, and spent five years as a volunteer firefighter with Chelan County Fire District 3.

A $20 deposit applies to in-person visits only — it isn't a charge on every booking. It comes off what you owe for the visit and is refundable if you cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours ahead.

The shop is in Leavenworth. In-person visits and device pickup are priced by two zones, and repair drop-off is the same everywhere.
